Our client in Tucson, AZ is seeking a CDx Biosample Coordinator who will perform sample accessioning in CDx CAP/CLIA Laboratory. Follows standard procedures in performing the tasks, and utilizes good documentation practices and following laboratory safety policies. Leads one or more process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group as assigned.
 
**Schedule: 6:00 AM to 3 PM and/or 8:00AM to 5:00PM Overtime required (flexibility required) Saturdays Adhoc
 
Responsibilities:

  • Receives and opens sample shipments and performs triaging of samples to respective testing locations.
  • Performs accessioning of samples and quality control of demographic data input. Communicates with clients on held and rejected samples.
  • Performs labeling of samples and quality control check of labeling.
  • Performs imaging of stained slides returned from Pathology, ensuring all deliverables are met within the required timeline.
  • Coordinates the execution of all internal and client requests, including global shipments of sample while maintaining accurate chain of custody.
  • Manages team email by ensuring all requests have been completed.
  • Leads and ensures deliverables are met for one or more process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 
Required:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years of related experience

 
Preferred:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of good laboratory practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work with relevant computer software packages, including spreadsheets and word-processing packages (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word), is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining high standards of precision and data quality.
