Our client has a remote contract opportunity for a Senior AS400 Developer who will execute product specification, system design, development and system integration. Develops new product concepts and development, delivers product prototypes.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct new technology research, concept specification and design of individual software components
• Participate in product and program collaboration
• Refactor implementations to standardize on an event driven architecture 
• Refactor web application and services to be completely stateless and cloud ready
• Maintain, configure and improve integration with COTS platforms
• Troubleshoot and fix problems and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
• Complete other tasks as required

 
Experience, Education and Skills

• 8+ years of experience in programming in RPG IV, RPGILE, RPG Free, CL, CLLE, COBOL, DDS, DDL, Embedded SQL development role
• 8+ years of experience in database management, DB2 SQL, SQL Triggers, Stored Procedures, Performance Optimization
• Strong knowledge and experience in web service models: RESTful Services, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, Token-Based Security
